Pros

International and multicultural organisation with plenty of professional development opportunities.

Cons

Most DGs and agencies are based in Brussels, which is not a very large city. Sometimes you could miss some amenities from large cities.

Pros

Very variable experience, depending on the unit and the DG one is assigned too. In my case, a lot of responsibilities, opportunity to attend high-level meetings, different tasks

Cons

Bureaucratic atmosphere, political and technical motivations often overlapping in an opaque way.
