Pros

Great way to transition into getting more work experience for former trainees without having to go through the EPSO process. Varies from unit to unit, but it seems like temps are allowed to be involved in a variety of tasks important to the success of the unit.

Cons

Don't expect to be involved in much substantive work from the get-go. Often boring with a lack of work, which sometimes felt like being a trainee again. Commission procedures are opaque and inefficient, and communication is often confusing. The temp agency used by the Commission is truly awful and unhelpful, at times even seemed totally sketchy.
