Pros

2, up to 4+ weeks of travel per year. Salary is better than non-tech jobs. It could be a pro or con, but you could call out sick whenever you wanted and take a day off.

Cons

Terrible management, vastly disjointed teams. My manager literally said, "It's your job to make your manager look good." Nobody cares about anything except more money and revenue. Systems were always breaking because of this and that. Impossible to gain a meaningful increase if you started too low. Many people are coming in and out, inheriting messes, and leaving half-finished work. Egos are through the roof.

Incompetance Encouraged

Pros

New building, used to be able to work remote 100% (now have to be onsite at least 3 days per week).

Cons

Many employees have been with Expedia for a very long time and have a very low skill set. They are then put into positions with very little or no experience. Management doesn't mind since most of them are incompetent as well, and it's the blind leading the blind. Whenever they want results, they pay top dollar for consultants to tell them how to do their jobs.

Pros

Initially provided hope for re-employment within the company post-layoff. Familiarity with company processes and departments facilitated job applications.

Cons

Unethical and insensitive termination process, causing significant emotional distress. Coercive tactic of immediate termination contract signing without adequate time for processing. Discrepancies in stated job requirements and actual job duties, leading to unjustified rejections. Lack of transparency and honesty in hiring practices, with contradictory feedback provided.
