Pros

There is Insurance is available . There are Sick days. They do hire veterans. Not much else is good unfortunately.

Cons

Long standing , make sure your shoe are comfy. You make not much more than minimum wage even though u are responsible for manager job task anyways. Customer at the Chicago river north location are rude and too demanding most of the time except for a few. ( "I need this yesterday ") well then you should have gotten it done sooner, not my fault you procrastinated. You're often by your self even though it's "rush hour" The other fedex sents us their work order too so it's even busier than normal locations Too much work that I can not justify with too little pay. Moving on to next job.

Pros

The company had very little minorities years ago. Now that's pretty much all they hire which isn't a bad thing equal opportunity is very important so before when a select few could apply now it's open to everyone

Cons

They tell you work and life will be balanced but here always short staff cutting hours and hiring kids right out of high school who see one take the job seriously so if you show any sign of being a good worker they'll call you every day off bug you non stop and if you tell them know you'll find your schedule being altered or "adjusted" to fit the world flow regardless. It starts off cozy then once you warm up to people you learn it's a colony you can't tell them no I've work 60 hour weeks 3 weeks in a row I'd like a day off. high drama and gossip a lot of managers have been in place since the 70s and 80s a lot of 20+ year vets that have a hard time connecting with newer generations that leads to trash talk behind their backs and other petty actions I wish I can say this is just 1 out of a few stores but I've worked as a team memeber and a manager at pretty much 7 out of 11 Boston stores and it's just about the same.
