Pros

Before integration, management always inspired, empowered staff. It was transparent, open door and mutual respect regardless of ranking, title. Staff was treated respectfully. Opinions were heard even if it opposite opinion. It was collaborative environment. Everyone upholds their quality of works and help each other. There is no politics in office

Cons

During integration, managers who originally are not from FedEx can’t uphold purple culture and bring their own management style into FedEx. More aggressive, bossy mangers who only wants yes man . Their ego, pride are high and the most important. Employees no longer can give any feedback, opinion, solutions. There is bias on treatment, TNT ex-mangers try to protect their own people by giving projects, opportunities, share information to their own people, let purple subordinates to clean up mess. It creates a lot of toxic politic environment when now loud voice people can easily suppress others; created a grouping; blaming game and passing the ball around. More long service outstanding employees whose used to solve a lot of problems and proposed good ideas are leaving, this causes demoralise and it creates domino effect.

Pros

Post-covid the in-person meetings are pretty much non-existent which kinda changed the dynamic of the job. If you can get a spot at the WHQ or WTC in one of these roles you'll get a cushy cubicle job that's mostly done via email/conf calls if that's what you're looking for. Good benefits - cheap-ish insurance and they are transitioning from providing a pension to an increased 401k contribution for new employees. You put in 6%, they put in 8% instead of the old 3.5% match. If you desire it, this company is very upwardly mobile and always hiring all over the place. If not you can coast and it's damn near impossible to get fired unless you act like a complete dummy. I see both of those as pros, lol.

Cons

Consistent re-orgs and old-head buyouts have shifted the employees that were experts in their area out of those roles and the problems that's caused throughout the company is immeasurable - this made a lot of jobs harder and less organized. Cubicle jobs are not for everyone, but with a good attitude you'll go far in this company.

Pros

FedEx was founded on the principles of People-Service-Profit (PSP). PSP means that if you take care of your people and provide a great service you will make a profit. It's great to work for a company that values their people. FedEx has great people. FedEx's lives by "the Purple Promise": I will make every FedEx experience outstanding. The Purple Promise is an Excellent Mantra and business "Golden Rule". Working sales at FedEx because you provide great value to client corporations. As a result the relationships become very close. Clients value AE's as "Trusted Partners". This is a great way to sell.

Cons

FedEx has lost a step. Technology is the main area where FedEx is behind. Many times FedEx is not up to speed with customer needs and is unable to keep pace with smaller more current nimble competetitive companies in the marketplace. With margins thin, FedEx seems to need to streamline their operation but is unable to do so without hurting the reliability that they're known for. Instead of being their own worst critic the company has listened to Wall Street type critics who have caused them to move from PSP to shareholder gains as their main purpose.
