Pros

Mentally stimulating, once main responsibilities are mastered - many special projects to lead. Small Network in district, easy to meet many key people you work with frequently, but must make an effort to get your name out. Many Team members in the company who have worked for a decade + create close knit communities. Plenty of time off.

Cons

Modern age of competition can be political. Operations comes with high expectations and a required level of stress management. Maintaining integrity and honesty can be a short term disadvantage but is always a long term win!
