Pros

The people are nice- seriously that's the only plus to the time I wasted there.

Cons

There are 4 layers of middle management, and they are all worthless. Don't ever expect to be rewarded for your hard work...if you just skate through life this place is perfect because you will get the same raises/promotions as someone who does 10 times as much work. Your "rewards" and bonuses will be downright insulting- I once had a senior manager tell me to pat myself on the back (and literally made me pat myself on the back) for doing such a great job.

Pros

I like it here because the people are friendly and smart. The managers are understanding of your family needs. It is within walking distance from home and it is very laid-back.

Cons

I've worked at Dot-Com's, Start-ups and a few Fortune 500's and Fidelity has the worst management I've ever seen. The work is off the charts boring and the Business cares more about their bonus than the customer.

Pros

Great pay & benefits compared to the same position at other gigs. Good for college students and recent grads.

Cons

Limited opportunities unless you are into sales. Like the others said, there are a lot of politics involved. In the regional centers, most job functions and advancements is to go into sales. However, that may not be everyone's cup of tea. Also, it seems that service is really second to sales regardless of your function. The better the salesman you are the better you will do in the call centers.
