Pros

Knowledgeable coworkers, outstanding benefits, great training. Opportunity for advancement is there. Very strong, stable, quiet giant in the industry.

Cons

In service, you are stuck to a phone all day. It can become monotonous very quickly. But you should know going in that you are going to be on a phone all day every day so it shouldn't come as a surprise. Also, it's tough to get a 5 day, 9-5 type shift. They have some odd shifts that they need to fill, so your options are limited and you can get stuck in a shift you really don't like.

Pros

The people are nice- seriously that's the only plus to the time I wasted there.

Cons

There are 4 layers of middle management, and they are all worthless. Don't ever expect to be rewarded for your hard work...if you just skate through life this place is perfect because you will get the same raises/promotions as someone who does 10 times as much work. Your "rewards" and bonuses will be downright insulting- I once had a senior manager tell me to pat myself on the back (and literally made me pat myself on the back) for doing such a great job.

Pros

I like it here because the people are friendly and smart. The managers are understanding of your family needs. It is within walking distance from home and it is very laid-back.

Cons

I've worked at Dot-Com's, Start-ups and a few Fortune 500's and Fidelity has the worst management I've ever seen. The work is off the charts boring and the Business cares more about their bonus than the customer.
