If you get an offer from them, join at your own risk

Pros

Free food if you stay late

Cons

I don't even know where to start to show how messy this company is. - After 5 rounds (about 5 weeks) of interviewing, I was offered an entry-level position with Fortinet back in May, then they rescinded my offer 2 weeks later due to budget issues, - 3 months later (August), they called me back and asked if I was still interested in the position. Of course I said yes, Fortinet was my dream company! I quitted my current job to accept an offer with them. - When I first joined, I could already see a few red flags - the onboarding process was messy, co-workers did not respond to my messages until 2 days later, and many more that I can't say. I felt lost but still managed to hit the monthly target. I wanted to excel in this job so I stayed late everyday and dedicated all of my hard work. - I was recognized by my co-workers during one of the team dinners and they even said I am one of their favorite team member they've worked in the last few years. - One day after that team dinner, I was laid off after working for 1.5 months. No reason was given, which I suspected due to budget issues because I met all of my target. If you decide to join this company, join at your own risk, because Fortinet has a history of brutal layoffs. They are in an very unstable financial situation right now with not enough sales to keep the company afloat. Even if you are a hard-working employee, they might still terminate you without cause. If your company can't afford to pay employees, please don't waste their time!

Pros

The mission, story, and technology are revolutionary and disruptive. Incredible talent throughout Fortinet. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and discounts for a specific Gym franchise. Benefits overall are very mediocre for being a revolutionary, disruptive company in a relatively new industry.

Cons

Colleagues feel managers and directors are working against them rather than supporting them. Since being hired the role and responsibilities have expanded 3 fold with no incentives attached. Management has openly used anti-union terms and directed employees not to discuss salaries with colleagues. CEO has his finger in every part of the business, should prioritize his focus elsewhere rather than getting involved in salary negotiations for sales reps. No culture but to be fair I've only worked in a remote environment due to COVID.

Pros

- Lots of things like snacks and leading edge technology - good easy location to commute to.

Cons

- Fortinet looks amazing from outside, and horrible from inside. When you walk into the building lobby, you will be fascinated by how nice the building and the receptionist are. by the time you get out of the elevator, you would see the real Forti"jet" :). - Can you imagine, on a snowy day when all buses / trains are cancelled, they had their new Grad hiring event planned. They cancelled it due to "weather conditions", and they didn't give any notice to their employees, so they had to go in the snow and expose their lives to danger? Why such double faced attitude? why should you tell job candidates we are considerate and to your employees "duck off" ?
