Pros

20 days PTO after one year

Cons

as title, C-suite level dont know how to lead and inspire employees, only micromanage and retaliate if they receive feedback which is not what they want to hear, so most people (including directors/managers) will stay quiet to avoid being a target....terrible culture of dictatorship, only those who dont dare to speak up and go with the flow will be promoted, your competency dont worth a lot here. many things that are decided by c-suite dont make sense in terms of productivity and long-term goals, because they dont have plans for anything they do, only mending and more micromanagement. If your leader does not like you, you wont even get a yearly raise, and the performance reviews are only based on how your leader judges you, you dont get a say about your goals or anything at all, very subjective.

Pros

You will be exposed to new technologies and there is room for you to learn new things. Company is big, so you will have opportunity to see enterprise level of everything.

Cons

Company has hot desk policy. You won't get a dedicated desk and every morning you will be surprised somebody else is sitting at your desk. Though this is not the case for managers and they have their dedicated space. Discrimination happening at desk space level. Work hours are 9 - 6 and some of the teams strictly monitor you. Lunch is one hour and unpaid. Stocks are released in very small amounts. If you see big numbers in your job offer as RSU/Options, just be aware that you will have them after 5 years. They give away a small portion of your stocks every quarter.

Middle-managers aren’t leaders

Pros

Very collaborative Folks generally pull for one another Autonomous self-starter types can find their own niche here if they’re disciplined Love to push the innovation envelope

Cons

Middle managers have no idea how to lead Backend systems are a joke Feedback loops almost nonexistent Heavily siloed departments lead to wasted efforts and ideas CAMs don’t add much value (few are an exception) Need to seriously audit and refactor the entire codebase for sake of modernity, quality, and security Lots of rework on products Lots of overlap Questionable product decisions (GtM) Many abandoned products throughout portfolio beg the question of whether we’re closely watching the market, whether we correctly anticipate trends (usually behind the market), and can make the correct decision to collapse niche products into others Few career advancement opportunities Tendency to hire retreads from Cisco who’ve not focused primarily on cyber for most or any of their careers CEO sits on the Board
