Field Service Support

Pros

- Easy work combining elements of Uber, courier, and technical support: 60% driving, 20% lifting, 20% technical tasks most of the time. - Support responsibilities are divided, with mostly L1 and L2 Helpdesk Support handled by the technical team in Manila, reducing workload. - IT support and troubleshooting are documented and available via ShareFile. - Service Now ticketing system simplifies job handling and provides a history of interrupted calls. - Mostly script automated tasks even with configuration of Mc Donald's Server. - Vast variety of work including but not limited to Servers, NAS, MDT/PDT, iPhone, iPad, POS, Workstation, SOE, FIB, Networking, VoIP, Firewall, Scanners, Printers, Self Checkout and many more.

Cons

- Excessive travel, approximately 200 km/day most of the time due to high priority P1 calls jumping in all the time. - In addition to technical work, labor tasks are required, such as screen replacements at McDonald's drive-thrus and over the counter, servicing boom gates at libraries, maintaining pill dispensing Alpaca robots, and performing preventative maintenance by cleaning servers, POS machines and even the Advertising TV with anti-static vacuum cleaners. - Difficult to maintain SLA, especially when two people are needed for heavy lifting tasks as one is always busy. - Company car with cargo barrier provided which makes it hard to travel long hours in inadequate sitting position. - Salary issues reported by employees via Best Ts as at initial stage no meal allowance, no warehouse time and no travel back allowance was paid. Later, few employees got and few didn't. - Work hours usually upto 70 hours/week most of the time leaving hardly any time for family.
