      The people make FCPA a good place to work

      Pros

      For the most part, the people are wonderful to work with. Depending on the job and the manager, there can be a great deal of flexibility in where you take a position. Initiative is usually rewarded as long as the risk has been discussed beforehand and the culture honored.

      Cons

      Management doesn't always walk the talk.

      Pros

      Good work-life balance All previous Pros like final salary pension about to disappear Oh, and if you don't agree to losing your final salary pension, your contract will be terminated!! Finally seem to be getting act together and waking up to industry developments e.g. Cloud computing

      No pay rise last year - unlikely this year - and prevous 2 rises beforhand below RPI and CPI Final Salary pension about to disappear Morale at rock bottom over lack of pay rise, pension loss and redundancies Management are focussed on watching their backs and couldn't care less about customer service Lack of transpareny on pay scales Secrecy and deception is rife at top management Full of middle managers - and new "Assurance" organisations seem to be created every other day Org changes are constant -I don't know whos running the ship at any point in time Management will happily screw those below them to achieve their own targets - have no sense of loyalty to their long standing employees

      Internet access was pretty unmonitored for us A lot of freedom in day-day activity Got to learn a lot about the business as a whole

      Middle and Higher management idiocy Unbelievable blame culture Low wages, nil payrise for 3.5 years for some people Constant reliance on statistics and corporate jargon
