Pros

Reasonably flexible, can work from home Salary ok ( but promotions hard to come by)

Cons

Redundancy programs have the wrong effect - very good people just get fed up and find external roles. The number of redundancies is reduced but so is effectiveness. Process heavy Too much emphasis on pointless internal stats that yield no benefit Constant dirge around the need for more cloud focus whilst not having a retraining program dedicated to it, Performance management ineffective - company can't be bothered to set goals so expect yo to set your own against a high level strategy

complex and inefficient company politics great inertia in changing the status quo too big structure that does only create complicated layers of governance and decision taking no clear direction or company purpose
