Pros

* The people you work with are some of the best there are; it's rare to be the smartest person in the room. People generally want to be helpful and work together in a way I haven't seen elsewhere. * The problems you solve every day are interesting and you're normally able to work to solve them. Politics rarely impacts decision making at a local level. * The new office is a nice place to work, with a Barista, Lunch and great views of London from the 9th floor. You also get reasonable benefits in the form of healthcare, gym membership and a high pension contribution.

Cons

* General morale around the workplace is low, with quite a bit of social activity having been cut back and a general feeling of unease following events at the company earlier in the year. * Middle management and business administration roles have grown a lot at the company in recent years, which has impacted the ability of many teams to deliver. Either teams are now further away from the core business that prioritising important work can be hard, or valuable activities can be stopped just because they don't align with a roadmap. * Security has been a difficult journey for GR, and although it has improved it still impedes daily working. Whilst this is a trade-off the business chooses to make, it is still a source of frustration when people are stopped from doing a task as well as they otherwise could.
