Terrible Culture and Management

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Generous amount of PTO offered

Cons

No job security. You will lose your job if you are not achieving the ridiculous goals they put in place. If you are placed in a difficult territory, you will most likely be out of a job a few months later when you are at the bottom of their stack rank. As a result, people are in constant fear of losing their jobs and morale is extremely low. Management lacks competence and the majority is not qualified to perform the job. No flexibility to work from home.

The metric before anything else

Pros

Excellent place to start or build on your career if you're looking for experience or exposure to a wide range of businesses. Great internal resources for career growth.

Cons

There was a mantra of "the mission before the metric" but that saying has been completely hollow for the past 6 months. Metric squeezes are consistent and 10+ hour work days are normal to keep in line. The greatest criticism is Gartner does not practice what it preaches. Even taking research to management to suggest better ways of working or thinking is slapped down as the metric comes first, not the client. The lack of work life balance hurts. Flagging it with leadership is dismissed quickly. Talking upstream doesn't work. National R U Ok day passed the other day and too many people, myself included are not Ok. You're a number, not a person.
