      Pros

      Awesome benefits that start from day 1. Good long term opportunities. Young culture. Experience working with C-level executives. Good starting salary as well

      Cons

      This jobs tough. A lot of it is luck and what territory you walk into after training. Also, your entire experience depends on your manager, but you have no clue who will be your assigned manager until after you finish the 2 month training. A lot of office politics. Lots of growing pains, since Gartner is wanting to rapidly grow. Territories shrink but quotas remain the same/grow...with less opportunity per account executive. Unrealistic metrics.

      Software Advice Is a good starting point but has zero career progression.

      Pros

      The pay for what you do is pretty nice. The leads are warm so all you really need to make $60K+ is be able to have a coherent conversation with active software buyers.

      Cons

      The owners do not care about you as a person. I was there for over 2 years and generated almost $1M for the company. Neither of the founders said a single word to me when I left. It was a very disappointing ending to my stint.

      work/life balance good to have Gartner on the CV

      Cons

      - Commission structure: very unfair... If you are thinking about joining Gartner as a Client Partner, do not believe the recruiters when they say that you will reach your quota very easily. and then get your minimum OTE... - Massive lack of trust and strong micro management - "continuous improvement" based on statistics and number which brings more and more metrics and which reduces the level of flexibility and autonomy - location: consider that if you leave in London you will have to spend 3k per year in transportation
