Management has a clear lack of emotional intelligence. AEs receive minimal upfront and ongoing training. Red clients are continuously given to unsuspecting new AEs.

Working with sales is awful--they treat you like an assistant. Further, upper management will not clearly define your path for growth unless you are a top performer who is about to be promoted. Being promoted at Gartner is extremely hard as the decision is not up to your manager, but your managers manager. Extreme lack in career opportunities. Additionally, pay increases are slim; if you hit your metrics(hard to due with current state of economy), you make a 10% bonus if hitting metrics plus a merit bonus which is around 2k. If you don't make metrics, you get a percentage of your yearly salary (2-4%) and no merit increase. Lastly, they do not inflation into account with salaries as they are a public company.
