You do learn some skills..

Cons

If you are young and a temp you are treated like crap. They ask you to work for them and write their name all over it and you never get recognized. They also don't include you in meetings.. and you are the least person whom they tell if any news around the dept. or the company overall.

Pros

Awesome management. Great people. I really liked my manager there and the developers are all top-notch.

Cons

Work was a little boring. Not my cup of tea, but a great job for most people I would imagine. Compensation was low, but I think that spoke more to the contract company I used vs. their typical salaries.

I work from home. I can transfer from one Gartner office to another Gartner office. I work with exceptional people. My work is important and fulfilling. I appreciate that Gartner is independent and objective so I can make recommendations that are truly unbiased. Gartner treats its Associates as professionals. I can explore my interests and contribute to Gartner's intellectual property.

Travel to client sites can be challenging for work-life balance.
