Pros

Gartner's a rapidly growing company, and managed to performance numbers that increasingly tie to business value. This means that benefits and compensation are good, but there's a lot of change to adapt to. Co-workers are generally smart and cooperative (of course, there are always exceptions). The global nature of the business means that work can be very flexible.

Cons

As with any company tuned to growth, there can be long hours. And the focus on business growth - read metrics - can feel stifling.

Pros

The training provided is next to none and gives new employees the tools to hit the ground running. Coming from a larger corporation, the culture here is a breath of fresh air. Everyone is ambitious and smart with a drive to do more. Friendly competition and collaboration is a staple of the everyday Gartner day and team outings and quarterly incentives puts Gartner a step above the rest. The Fort Myers office is brand new with state of the art technology and strong senior leadership.

Cons

Fort Myers is a little slow, so finding something fun to do takes some work.

Pros

Excellent planning, vision and leadership; very cooperative and respectful culture; performance driven meritocratic work environment; brilliant highly skilled people and absolutely fantastic customer relationships, great belief and 'can do' attitude comes right from the top.

Cons

Internal processes can be very cumbersome, some inconsistencies in regional execution of corporate vision, you have to put in a lot of effort to establish a functional work life balance, but you can do it!
