Thank you for your feedback and for your contributions to our mission to deliver design as a competitive advantage here at Glassdoor. I love to hear the sentiment that, "everyone is really bought into the mission," and I'm focused on working to deliver on that mission, every day. As for competitive pay, I agree we have an opportunity to lead here but I wouldn't necessarily say we are on the, "lower end," in regards to our total pay competitiveness. We offer all Design positions, including entry-level roles, a total comp package comprising base pay, bonus and RSUs with annual refreshers. In my view, the industry is going through a significant comp transformation, driven by newly acquired access to remote-only roles that were historically location-specific to SF/NY in markets and now available to all markets. This is driving a shift in pay expectations and what competitive means. Regardless of where we might each rate our compensation today, I agree we can do more and are committed to ensuring we have everything top Design talent needs to feel like they've found the company and job they love. Thank you sincerely again for the feedback and continue to hold us accountable to delivering on our expectations. - Eric Breier, VP of Product Design

Pros

We are building toward a really compelling and revolutionary product vision, making it a fun time to work on the Product & Design team. I truly like and respect the colleagues and partners I work closely with. Lots of autonomy and flexibility as an employee, especially with respect to work from home and work/life balance.

Cons

We are experiencing a lot of attrition, so resources are strained on project work and due to time we have to invest in hiring new teammates.

Thank you for the feedback and for your commitment to shaping and delivering on our product vision! I am so excited for what's next for us here at Glassdoor and agree our opportunity to shape the future here is truly, "compelling," work. I would also agree with your advice regarding investments in our Design team and I can assure you this is the #1 priority for me to address in my first few months here. I am confident that we are committed to doing what is necessary to ensure Design is a competitive advantage here at Glassdoor. Thank you again for your contributions to our team and for exhibiting our culture of radical transparency. You can hold me personally accountable and please continue providing your voice to the team; feedback is a gift and essential to our ability to achieve our goals. - Eric Breier, VP of Product Design

Pros

Some of the nicest people ever work here. Coming from a toxic work environment with back-stabbing, two-faced people and managers, it is truly so different and genuinely real here. People are very open, communicative, and accepting of each other. The autonomy and trust placed in me to do my job is not only rewarding but makes me downright giddy.

Cons

Still runs like a start-up and processes are not in place to streamline and scale up as efficiently as they should be at this stage. I feel like I'm doing the job of 3 people.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about Glassdoor and the team! Our culture and values are real here, and knowing that ""good people"" (one of our four core values) is something you experience daily is wonderful! I am glad you are ""downright giddy"" about working here and having the autonomy to do your job! You are correct in that we still sometimes function like a start-up. That is a great thing when it comes to innovation but a real challenge when it comes to process and working across functional teams. No one should feel like they are doing three people's jobs. That is a recipe for burnout. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As a manager of people, our goal is for our teams to feel safe, have a sense of belonging, and have a work-life balance AND to help strategize better ways to share workload if and when needed. Thank you for bringing this to the attention of this team! - Ashish Verma, Head of Sales Operations
