Pros

Definitely the best company I have worked at. The people make Glassdoor, and it is clear that management is there for us & wants us to succeed. I also genuinely enjoy selling the product because I believe in it & the impact it makes with our clients.

Cons

While I enjoy working remotely, it can be challenging not being face to face and having that interaction with my colleagues on a daily basis.

Hello fellow Glassdoorian! It brings me so much joy to hear that Glassdoor is the best company you have ever worked for. I totally agree! Being able to impact so many Employees/Employers through our platform really energizes me. While we are not perfect, I truly believe we are a best in class organization. I can really relate to your sentiment around remote work. It's been a pretty tricky topic to navigate. Since it looks like you are a current employee, there are many resources in our internal Glassdoor Wiki that talks about how we make our workplace better together through our remote evolution. I hope that helps! Feel free to reach out directly if you want to discuss further. THANK YOU for being a Glassdoor Employee and continuously striving for excellence. - Melinda Wyman, Director of Sales

Pros

Great positive people! Laid back working environment. No judgments. Very supportive management team. Flexible working.

Cons

- No career development or growth in years. - Any ideas or team growth has to align and be approved by Indeed because of our partnership. - New ideas are heard, but not actioned if Indeed does not approve. - No marketing! A bit hard to sell new business when there is no marketing investment in the region. Ironically, we sell marketing tools but we won't invest in any for ourselves. - Very USA focused. Online webinars, trainings are rarely available to support EMEA. Even the glassdoor.co.uk website is outdated compared to the glassdoor.com one - Quarterly operational mess as we need to wait each quarter on Indeed for account alignments to roll out commission plans. - Even though we are hitting our targets, reps are making less money now than in years past.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your experience with us. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us understand the areas where we can improve. I’m glad to hear that you enjoy the positive work environment and the supportive management team. It’s important to us that our employees feel valued and comfortable in their roles. However, I acknowledge your concerns regarding career development and the challenges posed by our partnership with Indeed. We recognize that the lack of visible career growth opportunities can be frustrating, especially for our tenured employees and individual contributors. The recent rollout of the sales craft competencies and career architecture will give visibility and paths for our sellers to advance and develop their career and skillset. I want to assure you that we are actively working on enhancing our professional development offerings. While we have made strides in providing online resources such as Udemy and Big Think, I understand that personal mentorship is crucial for growth, and we are exploring more effective ways to facilitate this. Regarding marketing investments and support for our EMEA teams, I hear your concerns. We are committed to improving our strategies and ensuring that our teams have the tools they need to succeed. Your feedback about the focus on the USA market is noted, and we are looking into ways to better support our international teams, including more localized training and resources for our UK and Ireland teams. The operational challenges you mentioned, particularly around commission plans and account alignments, are areas we have improved. We anticipate fewer account realignments and I’m sure you’d agree we have become a lot more efficient when realignments occur. We are working closely with our partners to streamline these processes even more and further minimize delays. I appreciate your understanding of the current constraints we face as a company. We are committed to fostering a motivating environment and will continue to seek solutions that benefit our employees and the organization as a whole. Your input is invaluable, and I encourage you to share any further suggestions you may have. Thank you again for your feedback, and I look forward to seeing how we can improve together. - Ravi Edwards, Sales Manager EMEA
