Pros

I cannot overstate how incredible of a culture Glassdoor has fostered over the years. I have phenomenal coworkers, who are some of the most intelligent, hard-working and compassionate individuals I've ever met. We have leaders who operate with an open-door policy, managers who advocate for our well-being and peers who support one another day in and day out. I feel comfortable showing up as myself to work and genuinely enjoy my time here. On a professional level, I've also felt supported to pursue my interests and seek out opportunities throughout other branches of the organization. I've had the ability to take on some work that I've found to be incredibly meaningful without feeling overwhelmed with my other, existing responsibilities. My manager is world-class and our commitment to work-life balance is unmatched. I could not recommend working here enough and feel incredibly grateful for the people I've met, the opportunities I've been afforded and the way I've been treated in my time here.

Cons

We're a remote-first workplace, which can mean that you don't get to see your co-workers as often as you might like to in person. That being said, folks are well-adapted to that reality and do a good job carving out space for some optional, virtual, social interactions.

Pros

I've worked here a very long time and sometimes take many of the positives for granted. It's easy to forget not every company offers the flexibility and environment that we have. * We’re a very transparent company * Senior Leaders are approachable, available, and visible * There is a lot of support from my manager and a genuine concern for employees' wellbeing. * We encourage folks to take the time and prioritise their mental and emotional wellbeing so they can be the best version of themselves. * The business listens to our concerns and where possible change is actioned * There's a very inclusive approach regardless of gender, race, background, sexuality, or how you identify. In recent years a number of ERGs have been formed which offers us an opportunity to learn more about each other, become allies and be better and more rounded people at work and in the outside world. Specifically from an EMEA perspective, we are a smaller group more akin to a family. There are no egos, there's humility and a willingness to learn from each other and explore the perspective of newer team members who have a different outlook. For me, the remote-first working environment is both a pro and a con. We are fortunate to share incredible offices with our sister company Indeed in both London and Dublin. This offers us the opportunity to interact with each other and our partners at Indeed. Should you want a change from working at home, there’s an accessible and fully equipped office which offers a catered lunch in addition to all the snacks and tech you could imagine. Having the office also allows for in-person client meetings and having face-to-face chats with colleagues you typically only see on Zoom. From a Sales perspective, there's money to be made and a lot of untapped opportunities for our teams. Our working relationship with our partners at Indeed continues to improve and there's a willingness at the leadership level for that to accelerate further. We have a plethora of benefits and I LOVE the fact we have company days where we’re all off [I just need to remember them and plan ahead more often]. With all this said, the very best thing about working at Glassdoor is the people. The people are genuine, smart, empathetic, humble, hard-working and over time become more than colleagues. So many unforgettable memories have been made and there are so many more that will be made. We have hired some wonderful individuals whom I LOVE working with and genuinely look forward to being in their company.

Cons

* Remote First working can be challenging. * It can be lonely and challenging for newer employees to feel comfortable within the group while onboarding, particularly if they do not live close to an office to take advantage of occasionally seeing peers in person. * It would be great to have (more) specific budget set aside for fun to bring the region together regularly.

Pros

This job is second to none. It is truly an amazing company to be a part of. From the Leadership + Culture amongst teams to Transparency around career growth, I feel seen. I feel heard. I feel like I am being taken care of. Glassdoor is by far one of the best companies that I have worked for and I hope that I am able to stick around for a long time.

Cons

My specific job is SALES. It has its peaks and valleys. Sometimes you have bad Months/Quarters/Years. Sometimes you have GREAT Months/Quarters/Years. Sometimes this job gets the best of me, but my leaders are always there to support me and equip me with the right tools and mindset to stay the course and keep on pushing through (in a healthy/respectful way).

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience working with us at Glassdoor. We're thrilled to hear that your journey with us has been positive. It's incredibly rewarding to know that our efforts in fostering a positive culture, maintaining transparency around career growth, and our leadership have made a meaningful impact on you. At Glassdoor, we strive to create an environment where every team member feels valued, seen, and heard, and your feedback reaffirms that we're on the right track. As a seller myself, I can relate to sales being challenging and having its share of ups and downs. However, it's inspiring to hear that despite the fluctuations, you've found consistent support and guidance from your leaders. Ensuring that our team members have the tools and encouragement they need to navigate these challenges is a top priority for myself and the rest of the leadership team. We are committed to fostering a supportive and respectful environment where everyone can thrive. Thank you once again for being a part of our team and for sharing your thoughts. We look forward to continuing this journey together and to many more great experiences ahead. - Mike Cremer, Director of Sales
