Pros

Pay is good and people are smart. Product and technology is really amazing.

Cons

The job is high pressure and will most likely demand a lot from you. They have cool facilities that equip you to work optimal/longer in the office. At the beginning I thought it was a nice to have but I realise they are there because work targets is slowly going to impact your mental health. You will make millions for them and if you do and not hit target they will put you in a performance plan. They do this for both new and tenured employees regularly. They are hiring and expanding fast and so remember you are just a number to them.

Pros

Perks: Google offers outstanding perks, including free meals, gym access, and comprehensive healthcare benefits. The work-life balance initiatives and employee wellness programs are also top-notch. Salary: Competitive salary packages with generous bonuses and stock options. Compensation is definitely a strong point at Google. Exposure to Clients: The role provides excellent exposure to high-profile clients and industry leaders, offering significant opportunities for professional growth and networking.

Cons

Lack of Opportunities: Despite the company's size and resources, there are limited opportunities for upward mobility and career advancement. The internal competition can be intense, making it challenging to secure promotions. Management Direction Unclear: At times, the management direction can be unclear, leading to confusion and misalignment within teams. Strategic priorities can shift frequently, impacting long-term planning and project stability. People Leaving: There has been noticeable turnover, with many talented colleagues leaving for opportunities elsewhere. This can affect team morale and continuity in projects.

Pros

Great benefit package, different canteens, big name on CV

Cons

Google has turned from being an innovative company into a money-making machine. Very toxic management, therefore a very toxic work culture overall. Every quarter is a rat race. You have to prove yourself again and again. This means everyone is in survival mode (high burnout alert) - if for some reason you don't hit the numbers, you have to keep justifying your performance. So many people are put on PiP due to unrealistic targets set to show high growth, especially in times of uncertainty. Simply put, a very toxic and demotivating leadership style that shows how replaceable every hard-working employee is. And your extra cash goes to therapy!
