Pros

Good work life balance and company is going through a positive major transition on the back of recent years of poor selling and stock build up. Colleagues are nice and team players. Good role with good global mobility; many have moved on to similar roles and management in other parts of the organization globally. Nice to have employee discount at group brands.

Cons

Pay is low and uncompetitive for the role and experience when compared to the Swedish or Global market. Salary increases also do not do enough to differentiate high and low performers, leading to confusing impression that it doesn't really pay to work hard and perform. Not diverse at all in the head office, causing integration issues and high leaving rate for internationals who do not speak fluent Swedish.

Not worth it!

Pros

Staff discount 25% which is in addition to promotions and seasonal sales.

Cons

Training is too long, over 2 months and this is not disclosed at offer stage. Training experience was very poor and disappointing in general; You are left to your own device and ignored by your trainer the majority of the time. Your “mentors” do not seem to have any interest or even knowledge of how to train new management staff who are not internal hires. Only make a point to cover their backs with ticking off items from training plan after reading topics of a page. Very uncomfortable working environment, a lot of favouritism amongst management team as well as bullying and pushing people to resign. HR and Area Team are also very tight knit to some store managers so if you have any issues in store, it is impossible to be taken seriously or even feel like you can report issues you are experiencing, “victim blaming”. Would not recommend, it is not worth the hassle unless you have the same toxic mentality.

Maybe good for fresh university graduate but not for long term.

Pros

There are many nice colleagues. Nice office with free fruits and 25% discount for all H&M brand clothes(H&M, COS, Weekday, &other stories etc.). Good cafeteria food and work/life balance

Cons

Pay lower than the industry or position average especially in Stockholm standard. Lack of learning opportunity from senior people. Some mid-level managers with insufficient experience. Although one of the core values is "Straight-forwardness", I see this is not well- followed as they aim to. Also, they can be bureaucratic so your contribution is not making that much change. I don't know much about other departments but the turnover rate is quite high in my team/department.
