Pros

Manager lets me set my own work schedule, within reason, as long as all work is completed with no complaints about quality or timeliness. Low stress/pressure for decent pay. This changes drastically at the high-end of the food chain, as the company has no trust at all in low- and mid-level employees.

Cons

Manager is utterly unavailable if help or escalation is needed, and mostly unresponsive to anything other than system-generated requests or escalation from higher about an issue. This is not uncommon across multiple teams and org structures. Pay is generally at or below the low-end of market rate. Rampant sexism, especially from native Indian co-workers (of both sexes, interestingly enough). Internal advancement for non-Indians is next to impossible. Very senior management approval is required for the most simple and mundane of tasks. Labyrinthine internal systems don't work with each other well, creating lots of wasted time and frustration banging your head until you give up or figure out the one combination that actually works (or remember that in some systems hitting backspace/delete is considered a SPECIAL CHARACTER and NOT ALLOWED, and will also SIMULTANEOUSLY send you back a page in your web browser because WHY NOT.)

Pros

Plenty of time off, close relationship with HR, easy and rewarding work, snacks, drinks, holiday parties, Nerf battles, good culture, hours are M-F, no holidays, no weekends

Cons

Pay is not equal to work/experience/what we need to live in the area. This is five minutes from Seattle, where minimum wage is $15 an hour, and they manage to pay college educated people, working complex analytics and algorithms less than that.

Pros

Good probability of getting good project at client locations.

Cons

- No transparency. Queries are not being answered. There are some hidden policies . You will regret when you come to know it. HR don't tell these thing while joining. - Management and HR are not easily accessible for any concerns. - Beware before you start working at Client location. -Lack of support from HCL once you start working at client location. - No training sessions are getting planed to develop competency in employee.Less effort are getting taken to grow they employee. - Faced lot of problems to takes leaves. - At client locations, HCL management is forcing to take less leaves to fulfill 'Totals Yearly Hours budget Goal at client location' . Its Horrible ! - Employee Engagement badget is very less. No picnic,No outing plans,No bonus, No gifts,Less celebrations events. - Yearly Bonus is less. (Give 40% to 80% ) So you will face loss. - Appraisal cycle is major concern. Salary growth per year is negligible. Example, Jun to Jun cycle. You will get salary hike in November/December. -Salary hike is very very less. This year majority people got around 0% to 3 % hike which is negligible. Last year people got around 0% to 5% hike. -At client location, not feeling secure. Less support from HCL. And problems are not getting resolve even after repetitive meetings. -Lack of commitment from management. - Career growth path is not good.
