Pros

Pros are below: 1) Salary credited on time. 2) Less work or No work. 3) Covid leaves 4) No sacking as this is like a government office.

Cons

1) If you leave within a year, they will recover all the bonus they paid you which was included in your CTC. Not any external bonus. So who ever has doubts about AMBP in hcl should take a notice that it is totally recoverable. They are taking my 200000 as i am moving out at 11 months. 2) Technical work is very less. They hired me for L3 jobs and gave me L0/L1 job. We just have to follow on emails and inform client team. Most people got comfortable in this but there is no future. 3) They will ask you to come to office weekly twice. Although every MNC is doing work from home, HCL is forcing people to come to office weekly twice. They don't care about your conditions. For them there is no corona. 4) There is no shift allowance. I am doing 24*7 which was unexpected. Monthly i am doing 15 days night shift but they are not giving a single Penny for allowance. It was not there before the pandemic too. Shifts are not clear. You can have to work on 3 different shifts in a week. Discuss all these with your HR before joining. 5) There is no compromise on Notice period. 90 days notice period for hcl which is the reason no body will hire you and you have to stay here.

Pros

You get the salary on last working day of month , which is unlike of other small companies.

Cons

They have AMPB policy , which deducted half of my on-hold salary. This is such a bad policy. No growth is given, no matter how many years you spend here. Academies are worthless , the exam is very tough to crack. Everyone is selfish and looking for own growth. No one takes care of whole team , everyone is looking after their own benefits.

Pros

The only reason to work for HCL is for the health insurance, which is pretty good. If you have five kids, are male and need to insure them cheaply, then it may be worth settling to work at HCL to get that good insurance.

Cons

I'm a white, American female with a graduate degree and fifteen years experience in start ups in Silicon Valley. At HCL, I was treated like I had no degree and no experience. My managers in Chennai treated me like I was a 22 year old blue collar woman and if they could have had me serve them coffee across the oceans that separated us, they would have. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM IF YOU ARE FEMALE, no matter what your race. I did a lot of research on the company and I don't think it's an Indian thing -- HCL is hated in India, too. It's just a very large global company with a terrible culture. Kind of like the Walmart of India. (I won't shop at Walmart because of how they little they pay their floor staff.) I quit the job when I found out I was making 60% of what the white males were making with less experience and education. It's THAT kind of company. I've experience pay differences due to gender in the past, but in companies run by American males, it's usually only a 10% gap, and that I can live with.
