Pros

Work life balance. Investment in employees to succeed. Several additional benefits on top of salary which only increases an employee's overall compensation.

Cons

Henkel is a German owned company and many of the European leadership come to the US and want to run the business like they do in Europe. They don't have a strong understanding of US retail. This often times makes for a difficult working environment, always having to explain why an item was accepted or not. It also means we do not spend enough on advertising, data sources, etc to support our products.

Pros

People generally nice and professional. Nice work place with onsite gym, athletic fields. Some opportunity for international experience if wanted and you are in the right department. Benefits and salary average to good

Cons

Almost impossible to get things done as every decision requires multiple levels of approval. Management structure way too complex - too many chiefs. Organizational changes poorly communicated. Systems in place are out of date and overly complicated. No succession planning.

Pros

Somewhat ok job to have while you are looking for another job

Cons

Management is 100 percent concerned with production and has no regard for their workers safety. Even though the production floor has stood up and fought for representation, henkel is still up to their old tricks. Incorrect paychecks, an HR department you can't get ahold of, production managers who lie to your face, the list goes on. And not to mention a temporary employee was ripped limb from limb and died and they still wanted production to keep going. This place should be condemned and 2 out of the 4 supervisors should be fired for putting their employees at risk. Ask about the time we had no water in the plant with no eye wash stations and no fire sprinklers but we're nice enough to fill a drum up with water and said just use payliners to spread the water if you have to.
