Pros

Good opportunities to learn and grow in field. Work environment is good with great people. Easy to network across the organisation if effort is put in.

Cons

Pay is always a sticking point with Civil Service for technical roles. Pay can be an issue while looking to move up roles due to outdated rules. Gradeism still exists although is dying out in the DDaT world.
