Pros

-Flexi time- you can work more time Monday to Thursday then Leave early on Friday 2:30 pm -you can build up time during a week or 2 and have a day off. Or for example if your family or friends are going for a day out, you can take the day off as flexi time, then just work the time back during the next few weeks. -you can also leave early if something came up and need to go somewhere different city or anything else and use it as flexi and work it back, so overall with flexi time you can pretty much decided which days you want to take off , no pressure whatsoever , you can also take 9 days to the next annual working year carry on. -Also you can can carry upto 3 days of flexi leave days to the next month, so you work more hours during the current month and build up so you can have 3 extra days off next month -for example, a friend of mine used all their annual leave during the year, then his friends wanted to go a week holiday, but i he had 2 annual leave days left, so he worked extra during the month and 3 days off extra next month during the holiday, the line manager has to agree with it but all managers agree. -you can start anytime between 6:30am and 10am, its 7 hours 24 minutes a day work, but people normally work 7:30 mins a day and 30 mins break so 8 hours a day monday to thursday, then friday leave 30 mins early. -the latest you work till is 7pm, unless the line manager agrees for you to work more to certain circumstances. -you can have small breaks during you work time quick 5-10 mins, i normally go our for fresh air, alot of people go out to smoke regularly, it doesnt count part of your break. minimum break time is 30 mins but you can have an hour you just work 30 mins extra, if you want more you can for example 1 hour 30 mins or 2 hours just speak to manager they will let you, you just have to work it back. -many career opportunities - you can apply to internal jobs once you pass you probation after 6 months, i am going to start EO job soon, i started AO 6 months ago, i got a provisional offer, they are currently doing checks could take few weeks or months not sure,

Pros

Career for life if you want it

Cons

View of Consultants vs Civil Servants. Consultants propping up the Home Office and a lot of Civil Servants who are there for life without progressing themselves
