Pros

The organisation is investing heavily in its transformation programme. This will give a greater customer experience and give staff better processes and input into how they do their work. A flexible work environment and positive people really trying to make a difference.

Cons

Large organisation, so initiatives can sometimes be duplicated as you're unaware other's have already done something.

Flexible and decent environment in Whitehall

Pros

Very personable colleagues, nicest working environment I have been in. Very aware (at junior to lower senior levels) of diversity and inclusion. Not so much at senior levels but definitely trying hard.

Cons

Poor pay progression and every decision is effectively communal, so a single objection can hold up a process. The place is also full of political spikes, sensitivity to this is a must! But then it is Whitehall.
