Pros

Decent pension and opportunities for progression.

Cons

Didn't listen to my mental health concerns. My manager completely ignored them. I ended up quitting within a year for this reason. The job turned out to be completely different to the one I applied to. When I complained about the new job (as it was a call centre job that I hadn't applied for), they said I couldn't swap to the job I actually applied for which was case work.

Pros

Good civil service dept with work life balance (immigration enforcement)

Cons

UKVI was a hellhole apparently. Also some quite weird careerists in there. Pay was bad but it was an apprenticeship so.
