Pros

Exposure to Chinese culture, decent benefits. Good experience in working for an international company

Cons

Many of the leaders are Expat employees with little or no real experience in managing employees in the USA. Since they have been very successful in their ways in China and globally their management style has worked for them they try to use it here in USA and sometime the "Chinese Huawei Way" does not work in the USA.

You can learn the basics of Telecom Business and Huawei Products.

Cons

This is the horrible place to work for any experienced people. If you are laterals and experienced professional then never ever join this company even in dreams. This company is torture chamber for the talented and skilled people. If you have 7-10 years of experience and join this company then you will treated like freshers here. The local management with fancy designation who stayed here for a long term have very strong nexus and unethical practices. They all are primarily defunct and unskilled guys who are just surviving by playing hard core unethical politics and manipulations. These guys are earning beyond imagination since they join very early, The 70% of entire company salary goes to these local management without a single Rupee value contribution. And their salary and perks account for budget shortfall and shortage. These guys are so insecure by seeing good professional and talented people that they make sure that such skilled people leave the company as soon as possible. The salary increments, promotions, benefits etc are purely decided by your state, region, language, religion, gender and not by TALENT and CONTRIBUTIONS. HR folks are worst and hopeless as usual. The Chinese management knows all these things but are least concerned about improving the situations because they are more (just) concerned about strategic positioning of the company in India and not the welfare of employees and quality output. Unrealistic expectations, deadlines, complex dependency, unnatural working hours, language barriers are the hallmark of this company. They just buy the individual freedom by paying slightly more and treat you worse than slaves. Performance evaluation is mockery here which can't be imagined and replicated in any sensible organization. How-so-ever you work hard, you will be always given lower grade and ask you anytime to resign. The worst part and irony is that local management guys are mostly Indians and they exploit, torture, sabotage and kill the career of fellow Indians!
