Pros

It looks good on your resume. Nothing else is good in here.

Cons

There is serious racial discrimination in this company. Chinese employees always earn more than Turkish employees. Some Chinese earn more than their Turkish Managers while working as Specialist under them. Another example for racial discrimination; If you're a Chinese who lives in Turkey, you can be anything at Huawei. Your background, education and experience is not important. If you're unemployment Chinese person, you can become HR BP in here in one day even if you don't know anything about HR. The only important thing is being Chinese native speaker. That's all. But if they try to hire local Turkish employee, they suddenly become too curious and start to ask difficult questions in the job interview. There is a Chinese cafeteria that only Chinese employee can eat there. Turkish local employees is not allowed :) Chinese managers do not care employee motivation at all. They're thinking like "They can go If they want to, we will not do anything for them to stay". I heard that sentence with my own ears :) They do not follow inflation rates, they do not raise salaries, they do not want to work hybrids etc. In short, they ignore all employee requests. The funny thing is, when an employee tries to quit, they suddenly start to panic and tell lies to get them to stay. They're really difficult people to understand. Some departments work from office while some of them working as hybrid. However, If you're working in a department which works 5 days from office, you will realise that even 5 days working from office is not enough for your Chinese Manager. They also want you to come to the office on Saturday for an unnecessary 6 hours meeting and they do not accept any "excuse" for not coming. Lastly, mobbing, mobbing everywhere. In every department, in every office. DO NOT come here.

Pros

Initial salary package is competitive

Cons

Little to no progression for Westerners: Your progression is decided by teams in HQ, using an opaque process which is confusing, and lacks contextual information which is key to measuring your performance, such as poor local tooling. This leaves you little to no opportunity to grow as a professional, or progress your life. Poor tooling: Lack of appropriate tools/software, combined with lengthy procurement processes severely limits productivity An official business language that is not used: English is described as the business language of the company, and yet individuals in key roles have a poor grasp of the English language, causing communication breakdown, and in some cases, exclusion of Western staff when English is inevitably abandoned. Lack of competitive benefits: No bike to work scheme, an excessively long time to implement the taxsaver ticket, and an overall poor track record of matching the benefits of other global giants. Large percentage of staff are contractors/ex-pats: There is a lack of security in knowing that your colleagues are not permanent, causing information and key skills to be lost given the high turnover such an environment promotes
