Pros
1. Job security, Huawei never fires, not directly,.. I know people here working for many years who are not even able to formulate basic SQLs properly. yet, they are very safe because of their over-enthusiastic attitude, process oriented work ethics and ability to withstand all kind of pressure from Chinese members. 2. Most managers are very approachable and friendly, however, they are powerless most of the times when it comes to hikes and promotions, even they are trapped people here. 3. Nice campus.
Cons
1. Remunerations have declined drastically. There was time not long ago, when hikes could happen twice a year, for excellent performers. There were at least 4 -5 extra monetary incentives like Variables, Loyalty bonus, RSI, TUP, All that has been abandoned and only one bonus payout is given in a year which is highly dependant on what money is received by the business line from front-end customers in the given year. There is zero allocation from R&D budget to huawei india. Hence, growth has stunted. 2. Stale outdated technologies. hard to find a tester who ever used basic tools like selenium and developers who has ever used springs in his own projects. 3. Too much nodding needs to be done to Chinese members, you are judged on that!
