The company with solid processes and a well-defined organizational culture.

Cons

It can be very slow and bureaucratic, cycles for promotions are long (2-3 y) by unwritten rules that everyone follows.

Pros

IBM has a very good approach about work life balance ( home office policy is a great advantage ) and also career development opportunities are a very big plus

Cons

IBM branch I am working in is an outsourcing company therefore a lot of focus on cost control and cost reduction, however I believe this is not happening in all IBM branches.

There has been 15 years for me on IBM, I joined even before I finished my college degree so basically is all the work experience I have, I had the opportunity to be on different roles and learned different processes in the company. I like that is big and you have the opportunity to move across organizations

Cons

IBM has some programs to recognize employees, but I constantly heard from seniors employees " we used to have this /that but not anymore " , I think there have been good things that employees has lost during time and have not been replaced.
