Great company

Pros

Excellent culture, supportive colleagues, bright people, challenging work opportunities if you are open enough to change horizontally and vertically as well, long term career possibilities. Most supportive leadership team you can find.

Cons

Company too tolerant in the sense that mediocrity is tolerated in performance: some people in their jobs despite a lack of work effort or disengagement. This degree of protection is great for employee security but also leads to overall performance concerns of the company. IBM has been struggling with transition for years now: cost cuts leading to continuous stretch of loyal and high performing colleagues is an omnipresent challenge.

Pros

I am with IBM for nearly 9 years and it is a great place to work. Flexible, lot of opportunities and great culture.

Cons

In lot of cases salaries are lower than the market, but if you remain loyal and work on your career you can get very good salary.
