Pros

Average pay, some workplace flexibility, good benefits. Many locations around the world in which one might be able to work and at home, maybe.

Cons

Focus on moving US jobs to "off shore" jobs to save money and reduce American head count. Corporate wide move to a shared services model which depends on fracturing the work into cheap assembly line components, with little or no contact with or appreciation of the customer. Savage cost cutting. Moving more work on fewer people.
