Pros

A variety of benefits; 3 weeks vacation to start; great name to put on your resume when you get laid off

Cons

Grueling hours if you let them boss you around; little to no pay raises; low wages; they will outsource you overseas in a heartbeat; little communication from upper management; billions in net income yet very little to boost pay; poor quality of work provided to clients due to understaffing of accounts.

Pros

It's a job. If you don't have expectations beyond that, and are flexible to know that you might be out tomorrow.

Cons

Lipservice. Don't believe it, especially from senior management who think they're doing the right thing, but all they're doing is propping themselves up so they feel good as they look to retire.

Don't Work Here

Pros

Good benefits package provided to employees. Great place to work if you want to collect a mediocre paycheck for doing nothing.

Cons

Bloated middle managment has zero vision, doesn't understand the direction of technology, is not interested in progress, and is not interested in anyone who speaks out about making progress. Internally, the company operates like it's 1995 instead of 2025. Clients would never hire IBM if they knew how it operated internally. It should be very telling that IBM was at the forefront of AI 20 years ago - remember when Watson won Jeopardy? But now, no one is talking about IBM's AI model. How in the world did that happen? Meanwhile, Elon Musk built a superior foundation model in 18 months. The company is living off its reputation, and will be dead within my lifetime. They acquire businesses and run them and their people into the ground. Don't work here unless you absolutely need a paycheck and have no other options. And if you do work here, don't expect raises or bonuses commensurate with inflation, your experience, or your contributions.
