      Pros

      The talent within IBM is committed and strong. Opportunity, if you can find it at your site, can lead to some growth. There has been some hiring of new college hires, which is a breath of fresh air. IBM has a long and storied history that can do more for it's employees, shareholders and Society.

      Cons

      Co -Location is bastardization of Agile as only 30% of Agile teams are actually Co-Located! Strategic and Secondary site strategy and co-location are taking opportunity for job movement and career growth away from employees, so employees will feel dead ended and less motivated. Too much of the talent has High years of service with what appears to be little to no interest to hire personnel to retain the skills. That older talent is fast becoming jaded by poor treatment and resentful of new hires, and demotivated to achieve let alone grow skills.

      Pros

      I had amazing colleagues, and the extreme good fortune to also have excellent 1st- and 2nd-line managers who made the end bearable when the marketing "co-location" initiative pretty much forced our entire team out of IBM. Separation package for those who chose not to relocate included helpful benefits such as career coaching and retraining assistance reimbursement.

      Cons

      The title says it all. I feel like I just got out of a bad relationship where I lost all perspective of how reasonable people live. I could probably use some therapy.
