Pros

Good work life balance if your manager is sensible. Career opportunities are available if you know the right managers.

Cons

Policy on compensations is absurd. Grievance redressal system is pathetic. Appraisal is based on outdated "Bell curve" irrespective of the team's work. Disconnect between Senior management and other employees.

Pros

Good managerial board, excellent long term perspective, wide range of fields that you work on, lot of people to go to when you need something and a very high technical level in some areas, like software development.

Cons

Worst place if you are an open "fresh" mind guy, a new-hired takes long years to get good rises and to start changing positions, but after a while it gets better.
