Pros

Cannot find one, you can learn here how to have your time wasted, how to waste others time, how to work with arrogant/damaged seniors/middle dev/students, join politics afterwards. People come and go, management never changes, it is promoted to higher hierarchy. Current employees are not receiving incentives, always have to deal with the no-employee-retention unwritten rule, no raise, new employees hired. The company rewards the people that "play the game", your skills do not matter.

Cons

Salary way below the average pay for the role, no raise, no technical growth, lots of useless corporate "tasks" , micro-management in weekly bookings, way too many meetings . God forbid you receive a project with a team assigned only on that one project for decades! The arrogance, the waste of time people in management in this company are willing to offer, only to keep an old project where they cannot change the other many years old team it is completely absurd. Project Managers that are always happy to throw another log on the fire when the building is burning, staying in their positions for years, must be changed urgently! Obsolete software, low number of vacation days - working with Germans shows you IBM has such a thing as a personal holiday for employees there, but for Romania overtime is paid only for those few preferred persons

Pros

Lots to learn, many smart and interesting people.

Cons

Toxic people, under no circumstances tell anyone anything personal including if you suffer with your mental health, as it will impact your career path. A gossip pit. Everyone out for themselves even though your part of a so called team. Poor management leads to bad moral. Most are numbers people and not people's people. A place where you can never switch off or be left alone by management if you fall ill. Massive culture shift within the centre and not for the best. They tip toe around with band increases and it's few and far between. 9 years there and I didn't get 1. Nothing exciting comes from the company anymore. It's lost it's spark. Avoid!

Pros

- foot in the door with a large corporate tech company; resume booster - opportunities to learn and get certified - networking opportunities - some _really_ good projects, a good project will make you very marketable for future projects due to connections made - respectable amount of vacation time, benefits - rapid promotion structure, decent raises (5-12%), sometimes bi-annually - great peer group

Cons

- management seems very disconnected from market needs/growth - certifications are pushed from management, however you will rarely get put on a project to utilize what you've learned. They are accolades for management. - consultant shop; management cares to staff projects, though not necessarily in your best interests - well underpaid; raises seem great but don't affect much being well under the national market's pay scale for software developers - confusing management structure that constantly changes - apprenticeship program is well-done in terms of the learning curriculum but not in experience - certain development practices are severely undervalued - no 401k match until 2 years of service
