Fair Pay, Work life Balance, Annual Bonus, Benefits, Corporate Credit Card. IBM does have a wonderful attitude towards it's employees. You are rewarded well for good work. When they let you go they offer you great packages plus training and allow access to professional counselors to help you get back in the work force. They started a alumni network so that employees can network and keep in touch as well as share information about jobs. This alumni network is sort of like a linked-in for former IBMers. The corporate card does help you with the travel issues. They made it comfortable to be on the road again.

Cons

Travel, Competitive Employees, Downsizing, Two many chiefs not enough Indians, Inferior Management, They favor non-heterosexual employees probably due to the travel situation.

You cna learn a few things.

Cons

Your job will get cut regardless of well you do your job. IBM does not care about you as a person. They just told thousands of to employees that they can keep their job if they move to India or China. Those that stay are told" you better put in long hours for free or you will be cut next". They even tell workers that their job is safe but only if they train in a India worker to do their job. Once they train them they are cut anyway.

Decent salary and good people as fellow employees as long as they aren't in management

Cons

Senior Management and executives have zero clue about what they are doing to destroy a once proud American ICON of "the right way" to do business ... it has become a cesspool in the last 20 years ...once proud to be an "IBMer" now I try not to have to mention it.
