      Pros

      Decent salary and good people as fellow employees as long as they aren't in management

      Cons

      Senior Management and executives have zero clue about what they are doing to destroy a once proud American ICON of "the right way" to do business ... it has become a cesspool in the last 20 years ...once proud to be an "IBMer" now I try not to have to mention it.

      Pros

      IBM is a great place if you want the feel of an entrepreneur but yet have the resources of a large company to back you up. It is great for you to express your ideas and for them to be noticed. Also, IBM is extremely conscious regarding work life balance, alot of employees work at home on Fridays and the company go out of its way to make sure work/life issues are taken care of. In a time when other companies are failing, IBM's solid business strategy has been able to deliver good numbers. Not many companies can say that.

      Cons

      The company is very bureaucratic in some ways. So compare to other companies, it can feel slow and cumbersome. It also can make you feel like a number in a giant system.

      None that I could possibly think of.

      Cons

      No appreciation of the workforce by management. They work you and make the your job extreamly difficult to do. Then you can be in a resource action. This seemed to be especially true when an individual is brought in from an outsourcing action I was lucky enough ( or appreciated enough) by the customer to be offered a job when the IBM contract expired.
