      Pros

      Brought back into IBM as part of an acquisition and am still a little wary. Originally left IBM GBS because it felt like I was a little fish in a big pond and left after completing my MBA. Company was then acquired by IBM but still has old values/traditions/corporate culture. Management team allows you to run with an idea and heaps tons of responsibility if you want it.

      Cons

      IBM is a very very very large company. It almost seems like they want you back as a boomerang employee -- which is the only way your salary will jump.

      Pros

      IBM is full of very smart people to work with. My work was always interesting and challenging. I had freedom to innovate and be creative in my job and that innovation was recognized. IBM has good benefits, but current management is actively focused on reducing the benefits packages.

      Cons

      Current management is less competent than when Gerstner was in charge. Current management is not very concerned with their employees.
