All About Costing Down

Pros

- Good medical benefits - Brand name

Cons

- Strong political tussle among teams - A lot of pressure on costing down, cut head counts, freeze hiring, acheiving financial targets at all cost, freeze training, freeze travel, freeze budget for general purchases, string corporate focus to keep selling its hardware business

Pros

Lots of career paths and opportunities. Work-Life Balance is pretty good.

Cons

Because of its sheer size everything takes some time to happen. Very difficult to bring a small change inside the organization. IBM is a process-oriented company which in some cases become annoying.
