Pros

Benefits, benefits, benefits! Paid vacation, good co-worker meals, and educational reimbursement.

Cons

It can be a slow process to progress in the company. Although there is more transparency @ IKEA than other companies, it can still be a mystery to how and why people are promoted and /or chosen for their positions. If you want to progress you MUST say that you want to be a dept. manager. Departments can be Clique-y, and that can open or shut doors for you if you want to change jobs. Communication and goals get pushed aside due to basic breakdowns in everyday processes.

Cons

Working with customers in retail can be very difficult, company constantly works on low budget meaning lack of hours to run department well along with outdated technology
