Pros

The companies values and morals are strong and the skills learned here can be transferred to many other companies given the opportunity. The atmosphere and the coworkers are friendly and management really tries hard to use the companies values in their everyday work.

Cons

Outside management is micro managing all stores and lacking in IKEA culture and values; asking managers to defy their morals with decisions made over their heads.

Pros

Salary is high compared to other retailers Development opportunities across different departments Opportunity to participate in national or global projects Opportunity to work abroad Good staff discount

Cons

When travelling it is done on a budget Sometimes people confuse their value of humility with not being financially motivated Uniforms are terrible looking Everyone clocks in and out, and it does not matter if you do 30 hours a week at home, you need to do 38 hours a week in the office
