      Broken IT Systems

      Pros

      Some people are really great to work with, Westlake office is beautiful, and there's a lot of flexibility to use Microsoft tools and improve processes

      Cons

      Leadership does not believe in long-term WFH or having flex days, compensation is well below average, and worst of all the IT systems are a constant struggle and continue to make processes even more manual and difficult than they were previously with every update. IT is ran from Rotterdam and they take a very "we know best, we don't need to consult you for anything" approach. Sales teams take their anger out on operations teams for how difficult the systems are to use, but we do not have any say in any of it.

      Many thanks for your feedback, as a global and publicly traded company we have to have one IT infrastructure, for ERP, CRM, BI and many more systems. Via various IT user groups we obtain valuable insights, can't please everyone but you will find this way of working in most global companies

      A Good Place to Start Your Career, But That is It!

      Pros

      IMCD provides an environment that allows you to gain experience. Most of the co-workers are great, along with some of management.

      Cons

      There is no room for advancement. After a year or two, your compensation will be well below market. The numerous acquisitions in North America has closed the door for advancement. The company does not understand Change Management. They do not allocate enough time to major projects and do not communicate or include people in the projects.

      Thanks for your feedback, change is never easy, sometimes the speed of it is too high and sometimes more is needed. We are indeed fast in implementing new systems. Our staff retention is high and turnover low, in 2019 the turnover of sales staff for all reasons was 10.9% - see annual report.

      Benefits, location, transportation, growing business , expanding to different branches

      Cons

      management, pay,flexibility, SOPs, warehouse issues, miscommunication within department, disorganized with other divisions

      Thanks for your input. We acquired Mutchler in the US many years ago and have since integrated the business and moved on. Change is never easy but in the end we kept best of both worlds.
