Great Risk Management Culture Not overly agressive like so many other I Bank Opportunities to take larger responsibilities given how the bank was not wel structured in various areas

Cons

Lack of diversity at Senior Management Level in the UK Not a true meritocraty If you are Dutch, got more chances to progress with your career

Pros

Good development opportunities. Until the crisis ING had a strong brand and good marketplace reputation.

Cons

The company is risk averse and since the onset of the global financial crisis they have tried to micro manage the global organization from Amsterdam. Low standards for managing performance.

Helpful co-workers. Wide range of access to tools and financial data. Fostering team spirit is a big deal for management.

Cons

Glass ceiling with regards to specific type of work (i.e. private banking). Limited learning on skills outside of selling and account management.
