Good pay, boring job

Pros

Stable, above average compensation, although not the highest on the market. Transparency with regards salary ranges.

Cons

Work can be boring, they use obsolete technology here and there and even though there are migration plans, they are usually too ambitions to be executed. Sometimes there will be blockers or dependencies from other teams that take too long to be resolved. The company pretends to be more agile that it really can. Salary increases are based on agreements between company and unions and not on performance. Because of salary ranges (positive IMO for transparency), if at the top of the scale, you won't receive salary raises anymore unless you get promoted. Your manager doesn't necessarily work on your same team, so he might not be in the best position to evaluate your work
